Just finished the main story, Breakfast at Tiffany's. It’s much darker and more nuanced than the movie. It’s far more realistic, layered, and relatable. In the book, the narrator has a strong but platonic relationship with Holly, and I think this perspective is central to understanding her free-spirited and fairly chaotic character. It's quite a bittersweet ending which is unlike the movie but I still enjoyed it.
