Not super far into this guy but jfc this is a long-winded read. Neil I do not need a description of every time a character relieves himself or each time he inconsequently moves his arm. I think this reads like Gaiman wanted it adapted as a film all along; the imagery is so needlessly specific and focused yet contribute little to the story or fleshing out the characters.

DNF I can't do this anymore

I chose to read this book to more or less get it "out of the way" in my TBR. I knew nothing about it besides that it was super popular and because of that fact it probably wasn't going to be my thing. Be nearly done with it now, it has quickly become one of my favorite books I've read. The revelations I've had while consuming both Evelyn and Monique's stories have been so unexpected and validating idk
