Discovered my ebook app had messed with the pagecount last night. Annoyed.

The evil necromancer has been defeated after... oh, three chapters? Splendid. Wonderful.

The chapter I paused in the middle of was the kink roulette sex scene. I'm glad I took the break before that scene. It might be one of the most unintentionally offensive sex scenes I've ever read.

And I want a refund on the foot worship.

You move into another country, and the details immediately get so dumb you have to stop every paragraph to boggle. I'm just tired now.

Taking a break just as it's revealed that Vad the Mad Grad owns the entire school. The school he is a teacher and also a graduate student at. It's probably supposed to be a dramatic reveal, but the logistics of the entire thing is distracting me.

I appreciate the information that Corvina doesn't like underwear. It's slid in there smoothly—flawlessly—while she's having a conversation with her new roommate about the roommate's friend who killed herself last year.

Tbqh this is just a continuation of the reread I started on 2022. The second reread of 2022, I mean. I have a completely healthy and normal relationship with The Silmarillion.
