If I didn't have to read this for school, I would have quitted by now. These characters are so blandly written. I find it hard to care about the story. I started to read a summary in the hopes that I would find something to make me excited to continue reading, but even the summary is boring. It's funny that this book was first published on an April the 1st, because its succes sure seems like a joke.

This book hits like a fist to the face. I feel so overwhelmed by everything that is happening, yet I am also dying to read on. It's as if I am trying to run with no breath left. Gosh, this book... This book...

* loud hysterical screaming *

I started this, because Bridget Collins's book, 'The Binding' basically became my new religion last year, and so I had to read her other novel as well. And oh my god, THIS IS GOOD STUFF!!! My oh my! This story has really lured me in. I can't wait to read more.

Kutlass Knightlinger... HAHAHAHAHAHA sorry who? Why is this a character name? Oh my god hahahaha.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I repeat: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! Just to be clear: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD! WHAT THE FUCK!?!

Okay, so this bitch has been introduced and I am so mad at her that I now have to update my reading progress just so I can tell you about her. Because WHO THE FUCK DOES SHE THINK SHE IS!? Excuse me! Guinevere, you are queen. You tell that bitch to fuck off. Don't let her walk all over you. If I had been queen in this universe, I would have told her off long ago. I am very annoyed that Guinevere hasn't done that yet.

I see... yet another 'Hunger Games' wannabe. And what is that I spy with my little eye? A love triangle in the making? Oh god, if I only I had been a teen, I would have been quaking. But you know, this brings back a fond memory, so I will (hopefully) read with revelry. Deep inside I'm not that strong. Teenage dreams, do keep me young.

Someone motivate me. I am getting a bit tired of this story.

Up to this point I am not liking this final book that much. Though everything seems fine and as it should be, I can't help but feel like there is too much repetition. Also my favourite character is having the typical YA breakdown of I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING, NOT FOR MY MAN, NOT FOR THIS WORLD, NOT FOR MY SANDWICH, I WOULD BE OF BETTER USE IF I WERE DEAD...
*sigh* I am so tired of that kind of teenage shit.

Have I started trying to binge-read all of these? Yes, I've started. But whether or not I'll finish my ambitious plans is another matter entirely.

I will never not cry over this. Never not cry. This is why I revisit LoTR again and again. To feel this.

Okay, listen, I have no conception about how old this Grey-person is that is the prince's guard commander, but how about we skip the girls and give them a shot at romance? No? Well, I thought so. But can you imagine trying to find the love of your life in the form of a woman for three hundred twenty-seven years, only to find out it was your bee bro bestie servant dude all along? I daresay that's quite romantic.

How come this book in the LoTR trilogy reads so much faster than the others? Really, page 223? How? I'm incredibly invested.

How did I just read 143 pages of this book wtf!? All this time I've only managed 50 pages a day and suddenly I'm doing this. Blows my mind tbh. But gosh, what a battle! Helm's Deep, eat your heart out! Neither that battle nor the Ent wars were as epic as the battle of Pelennor Fields. Even more heart-breaking than in the film. And the 'But no living man am I!' part is just one of the best moment of LoTR.

I am torn. I am not ready to finish this yet, because then I will have to wait a whole other year before I know the rest of these character's escapades. But I also really want to keep reading, because this is positively thrilling and I want to know what happens. I also want the solution of the murder mystery, because I don't bloody know who did this? Truly, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW! WTF?!

Judging by the amount of pages I've been able to consume in one day, you can probably tell I'm immensely enjoying this. Does this book suffer from second book syndrome? No, I think not. Am I obsessed? Well... yeah, perhaps.
