Actually, I am re-reading this novel. It is one of my favorites. I am crazy about Alice. I love her. And I love the oversize insects in this novel. So much fun to read this one.

This author is a delight so far. If the rest of the book continues with his excellent writing style, he shall join my list of must buy authors. On his author page, I noticed that he has a distinguished list of other authors who customers of his book bought other books by. A very good omen. One of the ways I locate new authors is by checking the other authors listed below on my favorite authors author pages.

I was not going to read another book by this author but I was dying of curiosity about this book based on the blurb. This time I purchased the book because In felt I owed it to the author after my tepid review of the 2nd book in this series. I am enjoying this book but not for the usual reasons. I find it unintentionally funny. Some of the dialog so far is completely over the top to the point of being humorous.

Tried one before, a sample, not this one which I bought. The Norths are quirky characters. Decided it is best to start with the first in the series. Sometimes it does not matter, sometimes it does.

Good but not her best. Needs more humor and more sex.

Finished on plane from Albany, NY to Las Vegas.

the search for the killer continues. still somewhat bland compared to previous Amanda Quick novels.

Spunky off beat girl. Lives with aunt and uncle. Where is her mom and dad? Has one friend, Franklin.

restarted this book from the beginning. liking it a little better but not going to be a favorite because hero and heroine are bland compared to previous ones and no cute pet dogs as characters.

They have traced Peter Morrow to Quebec City but don't know where he is. They have found only one person who has seen Peter during the last year.

Ricciardi has completed first day of investigation. He has "talked" to the dead woman who is complaining about someone taking her ring.

Gregor meets some people who live in the town at diner. Very confrontional. They make all kinds of wrong assumptions. He is not having a good time.
