Nina’s self-preservation skills are abysmal.

Ok that Coll chapter was pretty interesting. I’m curious to know how this will all tie up together.

This main character, Nina, is borderline insufferable.

In the end, he remained hidden all his life. In spite of the great departure, the ambitious effort to forge a new existence, he fell back into all the same traps: shame, the impossibility of sharing a love that endures.

The need to just not put up with the strangeness any longer—to alleviate this terrible, intolerable missing (we keep coming back to the word). No matter how much you want to respect someone’s freedom (even when you consider it selfish), you still have your own pain.

“Because you will leave and we will stay.”

So far so good. Has the vibe of a folklore tale.

“I feel this desire swarming in my belly and running up my spine. But I have to constantly contain and compress it so that it doesn’t betray me in front of others. Because I’ve already understood that desire is visible.” Oh this is gonna be a good one. Can feel the yearning already!

This book is moving at breakneck speed for the last fifth.

Damn Sam. Just stringing her along.

I’ll never forget why this is one of my favourite books of all time.

It’s pretty cute so far, I love that it takes place in my backyard. I’m undecided on Percy right now but the childhood flashbacks are adorable.

Weird and not realistic. You can tell at a few points that this was written a while ago.

This little novel already has me hooked. I love the female MC.

Holy fuck the twists and turns of this one!! This makes up for the slog of the previous one.

Okay I am glad I pushed through because it’s getting much better. Frederik accepting the situation after talking to Izabel has vastly improved his character.

I truly don’t know how much more of this angst I can take. I’m pretty sure I know where this plot is going and I cannot handle any more of this whiny Frederick. He was better off as an elusive, mysterious character.
