Really enjoyed that juxtaposition at the end. It ended strongly maybe minus the secret vampire society part, lol.

I feel like there is only so much self loathing and drinking into despair I can handle with this short story.

Oi this is really good so far. I’m loving it.

Despite the intense confusion, this book reads very fast. I like the way we are peeling back the onion but it is very repetitive.

I have a feeling this one is going to be either really good or bad.

Weird and not realistic. You can tell at a few points that this was written a while ago.

This little novel already has me hooked. I love the female MC.

Okay I am glad I pushed through because it’s getting much better. Frederik accepting the situation after talking to Izabel has vastly improved his character.

I truly don’t know how much more of this angst I can take. I’m pretty sure I know where this plot is going and I cannot handle any more of this whiny Frederick. He was better off as an elusive, mysterious character.

The writing is beautiful as always.

This is actually a very good find. Im really liking it so far.

What a strange book. I’m really enjoying it but the writing is quite interesting. It doesn’t provide much explanations to things so you just have to accept it. It’s kinda like being dumped into a tv series in its later seasons when all the exposition has been completed.

Unsure how I feel about this one. The writing is absolutely beautiful but the plot is seriously lacking. I think I’ll push through since it’s such a short book.

This book is infuriating in that we just let history repeat itself ad nauseam. Where we ask ourselves ten years into the future of “how could we let this happen?” When we clearly know why. I hate how the western world just sits back and lets Israel commit an active genocide with the assistance of the US. All for some fucking oil and the want to rule over a “uncivilised” population. I hate it here.

I don’t usually read books like this but I’m really enjoying it. Coates has a way with words. Looking forward to starting the Palestine section.

Chloe’s characterisation is horribly annoying and honestly borders on a stereotype/cliche.

Oooph this ending is weak.

I feel like there is too much happening over and over again in this book to make it as impactful as the prologue. However, some scenes are real creepy.

The prologue was creepy as hell. Cannot wait to get into this story!

Oh wow. Part two took quite the turn.

I love this book so far!! I love the gentle romance and the quiet healing. Just great!

I can’t read this is morning with breakfast cause it makes me want to not eat.

So far so good. I feel like I’m gonna cry a lot during this one.

I’m unsure what I think of this. I enjoy the main character and her struggles are captivating. But….the werewolf part just seems like it’s there to act as a metaphor for her transformation to returning home. I dunno. It’s not bad though - the writing is great.
