Tris is a bad lier and makes incidents sound like jokes. It makes it sound like Tris does not care about something someone may have done to her. For instance, in the text it said," I must have not pinched the other one hard enough. "No it's just... my morning glow." This proves that this was a bad lie and obvious to Christina that someone injured Tris. (402)

Tris and Peter have always had a very bad relationship with one another when they first met at Dauntless. Ever since then they have been in a constant/nonstop fight. For example, in the text it said,"I mean to say something sharp, or nonchalant, but the only sound that escapes me is an assenting noise." This shows that she wants to be mean to Peter even when she does not have her voice.

Lynn is very depressed with her fatal actions and wish she could have taken back what she did. Lynn doesn't care as much about the shot as she could, though. For instance, in the text it states, "It's my fault," Lynn mumbles. "I shouldn't have shot him. I shouldn't have..." This shows that Lynn is depressed and knows what she did is wrong. Yet, it also shows that when she mumbled it means she don't care. (258)

Tris is a very forgiving and caring character in the book. She is very up to date and cares for people that are not in her faction. (Which is Dauntless.) For instance, in the text it said, "A Dauntless Leader shot a Candor child in the head," I snap." (220) This shows that Tris is mad at Dauntless and is very caring for the child who was killed that was not in her faction.

Atticus has become very stubborn ever since he lost the case. Boo Radley killed Bob Ewell and Atticus does not want Boo to get in trouble with anyone. He blames Bob's death on Jem because he knows that Jem is just a child that won't get in to trouble. For example, in the text it says, "Mr. Finch," Mr. Tate said stolidly, "Bob Ewell fell on his knife. He killed himself." (366) Mr. Tate says that no one is in tro

Atticus seems to be very depressed about the case. It is almost as if he does not care anymore. He does not know what to say about it. He knows he cannot bring Tom Robinson back. Yet, he doesn't try to get Bob in prison. For instance, in the text it states, "I wish Bob Ewell wouldn't chew tobacco," was all Atticus said about it." This shows that this is all he cares about and he gave up. (291)

Atticus is very hopeful and confident in himself and Tom Robinson. Even though he hasn't pulled it off yet, he is sure he will soon. For instance, in the text it said, "It's not time to worry yet," Atticus reassured him." This shows that Atticus belives he has another chance.

Mayella is not very used to having conversations with other people in a formal type of manner. She doesn't have many friends because she does not wander off the Ewell property. She is not used to have any normal interaction with people that are not relatives to her. For instance, in the text it said, "Long's he keeps on callin' me ma'am an sayin' Miss Mayella. I don't hafta take his sass." (243)

Scout is a very nice and innocent little kid. She is very nice to Dill and always makes sure he is safe. For instance, in the text it says, "Dill, you watch out, now," I warned. This shows that Scout cares about everyone even if they are not relatives. (267)

Atticus has a fear that he will hurt Aunt Alexandra's feelings. After they had that huge fight over whether Calpurnia was a good person or not. For instance, in the text it states, "I was beginning to notice a subtle change in my father these days, that came out when he talked to Aunt Alexandra." (209) This shows that his voice and posture only changes when he has to speak to her.

Aunt Alexandra is very racist. She doesn't think it is proper for a white person to do something with a black person. For instance, in the text it said, "You all were coming back from Calpurnia's church on Sunday?" (181) This shows that she is shocked about white people going to a church black people go to.

The Dauntless and Candor are very greedy and want to do anything to get information out of Tris to hurt Abnegation. For instance, in the text it states, "Niles stands in the center of the room with a needle in hand. The lights above him make it shine. All around me, the Dauntless and the Candor wait for me to take a step forward and spill my entire life before them. (144) This shows how greedy they are.

Many things come to shock to Tris as she moves on in life. It is hard for her to take things in when she realizes someone came from somewhere else. For instance, in the text it states, "Your father was born in erudite," she says. His parents were friends with Jeanine Matthews's parents, before they died. Your father and Jeanine used to play together as children." (116) This shows that Tris learns new things alot

In the book a man is following all the rules correctly with no exceptions. He does this so that Euridite and Dauntless get there way. For example, in the book it states, "I'm sorry, dear," he says. 'We are just following the protocol." (59) This shows how exact this must be at this time in the age of exploration.

Tris can get angry and stubborn very easily. If someone says something about her she doesn't like then she starts to fume. For instance, in the book it said, "Stop it. Both of you," I say. This is showing how much she loves Tobias so she stands up to him by getting angry over something she did not have to deal with. (17)

Jem is avery brave and courages person. He hurt his arm but did not let that stop his dream. For instance, in the text it states, "His left arm was somewhat shorter than his right; when he stood or walked, the back of his hand was at right angles to his body, his thumb parallel to his thigh. He couldn't have cared less, so long as he could pass and punt." (1) This shows that after a injury he is still playing.

Jace is a the type of person who cannot leave the past behind him and move on in life. For instance, in the text it says, "The smile faded from Jace's mouth. "That's not my home, " he said. This is my home now." Jace is referring to the home he used to live in with his father. He cannot forget his father and live somewhere else. This proves that he lacks the character trait lonesome. (463)

Jace is very brave and very knowledgeable when it comes to guessing whether someone is a vampire or a human. For instance, Jace states, "When you left the foyer, your feet didn't leave marks in the dust. Then I knew." (271) This proves that Jace makes inferences when skeptical about someone being a vampire or a human.

Clary is a very caring person to her very good friends and makes sure nothing terrible happens to them. Simon turned in to a rat and Clary is being very protective to keep him alive until the spell wears off. For instance, in the text it states, "Who cares about the stupid law?" Clary screamed, grabbing hold of Isabelle's wrist. "My best friend is a rat!" (238) This shows that she is scared and has to see him.

Jace has become a much nicer person to everyone since Clary has come along to the Shadow Hunter group. Even though he has become a whole lot nicer this niceness has mostly been to Clary. For instance, in the text it states, "She jumped. The impact stung her feet, but she didn't fall. She swung around in triumph to find Jace watching her. "I would have helped you down, he said." (78) This shows him being nicer.

Clary overreacts about many things. She gets outraged about something or someone before she even met the person. For instance int eh text it said, "That's impossible! My mother would have never-she was only ever married to my father. She didn't have an ex-husband." (149) This shows that she does get outraged over these types of problems. She has never met her father. She believes all the bad things said.

Isabelle can be very rude to other people at times. She doesn't realize how nasty she is being and how it might hurt someone else's feelings. For instance, in the book it states, " Oh, and there's soap in the bathroom," she added. "You might want to clean up a little. You smell." This proves that Isabelle is mean by instead of complimenting or being nice to someone she is rude by making a complaint. (61)

Clary is a very has a very brave personality. When she saw two men with a knife she followed them and called them out for it. For instance, in the text it states, "Clary could take no more. She stepped out from behind the pillar. "Stop!" she cried. "You can't do this." This proves that she spoke up and stood up for the boy who had been captured and tortured. (12).

Michael feels very bad for making false accusations about Mr. Haberman. He went to juvenile delinquent detention for breaking in Mr. Haberman's house. While in detention he read the rest of the assigned book and something else to make Mr. Haberman feel better. In the text it states, "Anyway, once I finished the book, I wrote Haberman about it. I guess that was my way of saying sorry." (230)

Tommy is still recorded as missing and Michael does not know why. He is very concerned because when Tommy gets mad he is never away for this long. For instance, in the book it sates, "He'd never been gone this long, and the police had never been involved before." (140) This proves his concern for Tommy because of the amount of time he has been missing for and the police being involved.

Mixer and Michael are very bad kids. They break the law a lot and are very dangerous. Michael owns a bb gun and Mixer knows a guy who will give him six packs of beers for free. For instance, in the text it said,"Mixer handed me another beer. It wasn't as cold this time. I went to lean on the wall with my bb gun." (61) This shows that they broke the law because they drank underage and are dangerous with guns.

The school lunch at the school TITS is very bad and can be bad temperature wise. Generally, lunch is made a few hours before they eat and sometimes they forget to reheat the food. For instance, the book states, "The three of us hashed it out over cold sloppy joes during what was left of the lunch period." (45) This shows that the school lunch is cold and they probably had no other option.

Tommy Davis was an amazing hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He got the most runs batted in award in 1962 when he got the all time record. For instance, in the text it said, "No major leaguer has driven in 150 or more runs since Davis did in in 1962." (115) This shows that Davis is an amazing hitter because he drove in so many runs and broke the all time record.

Maury Wills was won of the fastest baseball players ever. He currently holds the record fot the most stolen bases in the major leagues. He won the most valuable player award for all the stolen bases he got. For example in the text it said, "Maury Wills-1962 league MVP and baseball's "prince of thieves," the man who permanently changed the way the game was played by stealing 104 bases." (115)
