Reet Champion is on page 100 of 348 of A Match of Wits (Ladies of Distinction, #4)
Any misgivings I may have held have vanished. While this may not have the depth that, say, a Julie Klassen novel possesses the humour more than makes up for shortcomings, The ramblings of the characters as well as their antics are hilarious.

Reet Champion is reading The Titanic Locket (The Haunted Museum #1)
So far very dense and complete;y what I suspected out of a juvy ficitonal story. Don't even get me started on the daft theories and stories that are being repeated AND the total fallacies that I have to wonder if they were made-up by the author or if they consulted the wrong sources in the course of research.

Reet Champion is on page 70 of 189 of Out of the Depths: An Unforgettable WWII Story of Survival, Courage, and the Sinking of the USS Indianapolis
Pretty interesting. Somewhat better than some of the books and material I've read on the Indy. The author says some things I'm not certain I agree with, but it's interesting to read from the survivors POV.

A remarkably crafted tale. Now feeling a bit miffed that I am not reading the unabridged edition.

I have a feeling this would have been a better book had it been told in the first person.

Reet Champion is 68% done with Alex's Wake: The Tragic Voyage of the St. Louis to Flee Nazi Germany-and a Grandson's Journey of Love and Remembrance
A bit memoirish - has its up and downs in the attention-grabbing department, but not terribly thrilling.

Nearing the end at long last. The fact that it has taken this long is no fault of the author's. Great writing style.
