Meeko is Mikki love of a lifetime which is evident in all the trials & tribulations that she goes through for & with him. I was upset with her father regarding his reaction to everything. I loved that her situation allowed her mom to clean about her past to someone that could understand. Meeko was a complex character that wanted to have his cake, her cake & everybody else's too!

This was my first read by Clever Black but will certainly not be my last. It started off kind of slow but once it picked up it was full steam ahead. The love, lust and drama went hand in hand. I love the dynamics of the friends in this novel. They would do anything to help each other in a time of need. The ending left my mouth wide open even though it was hinted at earlier in the novel.

If you've ever heard of the six degrees of separation and enjoy reading about it, then this is definitely the book for you! This book is one for the records and I need part two ASAP! The relationships are dangerous, misleading & loving but forgiveness is no where in sight. Great job Latoya!
