Little by little the bird builds it's nest... I'm taking forever, but I hope I'll find more time to read on vacation. I'm still enjoying this very much. Despite having listened to the audiobooks of the season numerous times (even while currently reading it), I find bits and pieces I've missed or that might have been abbreviated in the audiobook. The Crows are definitely Bardugos strongest novels in the GV.

I really do like these short stories I can read in between. This works well for my current reading slump. And I really enjoy these stories.

As with The Language of Thorns, Bardugo proves her hand for writing fairy tales and saint stories. I'm really enjoying this book a lot. Some of the saints' appointment seem a little strange, but then again, I know only very few actual saint stories in real life, so I'm not a good judge for that anyway. I find myself very entertained and I do hope we'll get more such stories in the future.

I'm baffled. The ebook version I borrowed from my library said this is 58 pages. The actual story is 20 (!) pages. Meanwhile the Crows Teaser in this book is almost 30 pages long. The same with the Grisha-trilogy. What's going on?

Whoever compared this to Bridget Jones was a fool. While Queenie is indeed as lovable and weird as Bridget, this book is so much... more. I wish they hadn't used that comparison for marketing, because it deceived a lot of people and probably kept a bunch of others away who might really enjoy this.
