Reading in early 2016, but didn't finish. Not an easy read. Provides insight to the history of revolts and attempted coups in eastern Turkey. The reactions in the book didn't seem normal to me, living in the US, but over the past year, seeing the news stories of the failed coup and the tightening Erdogan government, I feel that I have some insight that I would not have had.
