Really interesting concept. Good characters, except for the antagonist. He was pretty boring. The ending didn’t land for me but it didn’t completely ruin the book. Still enjoyed it.

I’ve been in a reading slump and needed something that moved quickly and I didn’t have think too hard about. This was a good choice for such a time.

Excellent! I really enjoyed the first book and I thought this one was better. We are all used to good vs evil stories where there’s the evil and then the good rebels but this book dives into the question, what happens when the evil has been dealt with and it’s time to find a new way forward?

The last 80-100 pages were so worth the investment. Can wait to get my hands on The Hero of Ages.

Slogging through. I want to finish this but I’m not really enjoying myself.
