A page-turner. Historic fiction is turning out to be a favorite book genre for me. I was lost with all the descriptions of cathedral-building but no doubt some research would make this not so dull as a subject. the women are enchanting characters especially for that time, which betrays a bit the modern influence over the text, and the plots good to follow. All in all a good read.
