This makes no sense. How on earth does a school have more power than a monarch. It just doesn't.

This book is following the same issue as the first in that is over explains everything in too much detail as if the reader is stupid. It makes for a really difficult and boring read.

Very early stages and already there's just a lot of stuff that isn't adding up. A lot of hypocrisy - lean was literally about to kill a woman for betraying his club. Character wise, it would make no sense that he'd care about a woman being locked in a closet for being a traitor.

Again hitting the problem of things not making sense...

Why did they give up their hitman enterprise in favour of the guns? Why not just add to it?

How do they not have the man power to attack the Corsetti family now that there's less of that family than there were in the first book? They're supposedly rebuilding... Surely they would have wiped them all out rather than letting them rebuild...

Struggling a bit to move past this part... Didn't realise this book has cheating in it. If there's one thing I struggle with in books - It's a cheating trope.

I started reading this series knowing it would provoke a strong emotional reaction from me as I'd seen a sneaky preview of a seen that enraged me and I felt like pushing me own buttons but a cheating trope... Ick
