I’m only on page 82 but I am struggling to see why this book has such good reviews. Must have been paid reviews. The writing is pretty weak.

Finally on page 179 Poirot shows up!

Page 140 and still no M. Poirot. A Poirot series should feature the man himself!

Dear publishers, try not to spoil the first book with the synopsis on the second. At least this saves me some book money.

Unfortunately, I looked up what the 2nd book is about and now I don’t need to finish reading the first book since the synopsis of the second book literally names the killer of the first. So freaking stupid. Thanks a lot. And I won’t be purchasing the second book out of spite. What kind of publisher literally writes a spoiler in the synopsis?! So dumb

Only 13 pages in and I already hate Amelia. I’ll try to push through.

Annabelle definitely suffers from Mary Sue syndrome. She thinks she’s perfect and everyone agrees with her. The number of times she or someone else refers to her as “over educated” is astounding. 🙄 Trying really hard not to DNF but it’s tough. Montgomery is a tool.

Dnf. Just awful.

I don’t know if I can finish this book. The writing is atrocious!
