Ive picked this up and put it down just as often. Having doggedly worked my way to the middle Im determined to finish This installment, but no more.

Dragons? Cozy mystery? English countryside? All Good!
Being haltingly & awkwardly forced together... Not so.

The idea is mostly sound, but the dry voice of story and lack of full bodied characters and integration thereof have turned me off of this particular story.

In truth the first few pages almost kept me from reading the book as, while they are eventually informative in a foundational sense at least geographically, they set up the account to seem dry and overly descriptive of unnecessary details. (Think ch 1 Gone With the Wind...)

The account and information of this work however, is both fascinating and horrifying- especially to a baker!
