Sent it back. Did not finish

Yuck! Won’t finish it

Unusual story, though true. The writing is stunning. Descriptions are sharp and poetic.

Really informative and interesting. Love all the calendar history.

So good! Sort of an allegory re European powers raping weaker countries. Both Masson and Lloyd are using the islanders for their own advancement.

Fantastic. I bought the Kindle version since I was missing some of the extras Kovic put in the book. Now I am reading the book immersion style. So interesting, instructive, thought provoking.

Good so far. Fun tracing the family tree

Riveting. It is tense all the way through. Needs a second read to catch more of the nuances. Not a rewrite of Beowulf..

A history lesson, a live story, a feast of descriptions.

Interesting

Great!

Fascinating

Looooooooots of courtroom strategy

Lyrical, interesting
