I’m surprised at how much I am not enjoying this book. So far it is reading like a soap opera. I’ll finish it of course and hope it will get better

This has turned into an excellent book. Far more than the lives of the immigrants and their descendants

I am loving every word of this book so far. I thought it was going to simply be following the lives of the two French immigrants but it is just so much more!

I am loving every bit of this book and am taking it so slowly. At first I didn’t see how it was ever going to make sense, but this wonderful author is tying it all together and I don’t want it to ever end

Oh this is a hard read. I’m still only halfway through it. So so boring

One of the most privileged people in the world, complaining to the world how very awful his life has been.
Well, I’ll just keep plugging along.

Oh this is going to be a tough go. Quite boring and whiny so far. It’s going to be one of those books I pick up when I’ve nothing else to read. I should have known better

Tonight I will finish this book and this makes me incredibly sad. I have laughed and cried as I read. It will be a book I think about for years to come.
