This book has always lived in my head as one of the most astonishingly beautiful books ever written. It was my intro to magic realism and also to Nigeria.
I have been afraid to reread for many years bc I was afraid it wouldn’t live up to my memories. It does. It does. I’m crying at how perfect it is.
