-Ralph begins to take his job as chief more seriously- he holds an official assembly where he is determined to sort out their priorities and fears.
-Simon, Piggy and Ralph realize the value of adults. They also notice how the other boys are starting to adapt more to a “free life” than to keep to orders (which are eventually supposed to get them rescued.)

Nevertheless, my patience did pay off as I am quite enjoying the unique plot of the story. If it continues this way, I guess I will finish the trilogy.

So, at first, I felt the urge to abandon the book, mainly because it was an introduction. I felt like the author did apply a hook but it wasn't enough to keep me very interested. Though, most books may seem a little uninteresting at first because there has to be an introduction- I mean I would probably do the same if I wrote a book.
