I love this book so far. It takes place in Tel Aviv (circa 30s/40s). I love the background stories of the patrons at the tavern.

Amanda hugged him, and placed the medallion on his shoulder where the soul wound was just as he died. She was afraid that it didn't work. She was scared and filled with so much emotion that she gave him some of her life force and the spark from the medallion worked... Des is in trouble. Even though Kyrian is mortal, Amanda was able to tap into her powers. Looks like Amanda can throw bolts too.

Yep, he's stripped of his powers because he released. "Amanda" handed him some wine, and just like That, drugged him. Before he passed out he saw her let Des in the room. Ughhhhh not again, but I'm sure that she was possessed. Des just shot an arrow into Kyrian's heart. I bet that Amanda is pretending to be in a trance. Des told her that she can kiss him before he dies

After saving Tabitha, Eric was finally able to convince her that Kyrian was one of the good guys. Kyrian tried to call Amanda, no answer, called everyone else, panicked he went home and there Amanda was, in their bedroom ready to seduce him. I'm betting that when he releases his seed and becomes vulnerable, Des will try to kill him, this would be the time for her to put the medallion on his soul wound

Cliff betrayed Amanda so that he could gain immorality, I'm sure that Desidarius would rather die than let that happen.. Dangit, stupid Tabitha is hunting Des too, she's going to get herself killed. I can see that this would be the opportunity for Amanda to give Kyrian his soul after he's mortally wounded trying to save Tabitha

Holy crud. Cliff is a mongrel (half appolite half human). Desidarius used Cliff to meet the "sorceress with untapped powers" to have her draw out and develop her powers. But when he broke off the engagement, Desidarius handcuffed Amanda to Kyrian, knowing that she was the wrong sister. It wasn't a mistake after all, he planned this from the beginning.

Kyrian is over at his house and Amanda came over. They argued and he left the house and Ash just told Amanda that he has Kyrian's soul and how she can restore his soul. Amanda just got a phone call from Cliff and she's going over there to help him. I'm sensing it's a trap... Yep, it was. Deciderious just came out of the shadows as soon as she stepped inside Cliff's apartment

Kyrian left Esmeralda's house because he was fighting with Tabitha and her goons. A vampire, in the same room with a bunch of vampire hunters, not going to happen. Kyrian loves Amanda so much, that he leaves so as to not create more misery (him and her sister fighting). If he didn't, he'd stay and fight. Now would be the time for Acheron to tell him that he has his soul from Artemis

I'm wondering if this book, since it is fiction, but is of a RL event, would reveal the killer. I'm hoping that it doesn't end in a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers

Two more bodies are found. In the letter, the murderer gave clues about the precinct making a joke about the given name"leather apron" and that they would strike again. The letter is written in what is believed to be blood, but also has the faint scent of Audrey's perfume. Thomas made an observation, that somehow Audrey is involved with writing the letter to exonerate her Uncle. The perfume however is a popular scent

Wow. First Audrey's Uncle is arrested for being the Leather Apron (due to his expertise with performing autopsies since the murderer has removed organs with precision), when she visits him in the asylum, she finds out he's been drugged. Then the newspaper editor receives a letter from someone claiming to be the murderer and named themself "Jack the Ripper". All the more to exonerate her Uncle.

Torin, of course, was keeper of Disease. Lucien was keeper of Death. Reyes, of Pain. Aeron, of Wrath. Paris, of Promiscuity. Maddox is violence. it may be torture for Reyes and Lucien to have to kill Maddox every night, especially Reyes who has to do the stabbing and Lucien to take him to hell where they are tortured until morning. damn those gods

great book so far. Sad to be cursed with all those sins. I feel bad for Disease the most. Not being able to touch anyone without killing them. TBH, they cursed themselves by giving in to their pride and not allowing Pandora to do her job in transporting the box alone.

well, now Yi is on his way to the Yeong Fu house to get answers from Mao about everything (the shoes, the mystery daughter of Da Jing, etc).

amazing story. with a little bit of snow white (the stepmother with the magic spell on the apple, where in this story, it's an apricot, and it doesn't poison him, but casts a love spell on him just before the ball)

well, Katie finally told Alex about her past. about her abusive husband and how he beat her, hope she already tried to run away before and the fact that her husband is a detective and will eventually find her. oh, and that her name is actually Erin. Alex has agreed to keep her secret. I just hope that he doesn't go digging around and exacting revenge on Kevin because in doing so, he will find her.
