So, I have been completely sucked into the story, I think it's pantsloads of fun, but the writing is killing me.

I think this is one of my favorites so far.

I cannot stop groaning at this book. Setting is so glorious, but some of the writing? Oy.

I'm enjoying how the author is blending myths... but I'm still not feeling the story overall, and I feel like I'm missing something.

I'm so incredibly tired of the jargon. The world is almost interesting, but not quite, and I couldn't give two poops about the characters. /yawn

1. I'm so tired of hearing about the perfect perfection of how awesomely perfect Achilles is. I GET IT
2. If this wasn't an audiobook, I would have thrown it across the room by now.

Eh. I feel like I'm the only one in the world that doesn't like this book. I'm just bored by it.

Solid Meh, so far.

Part of me wants to hate/dislike this book. The rest of me can't put it down and wants to READ MOAR!

Working in the garden while listening to the terraforming bits = win.

A little slow, but pretty interesting. I like it a hell of a lot better than Bova's Mars.

Oh, well this is going faster than expected!

I could go on about being disappointed in this book, but I guess I'll wait for the review.

In any event, I didn't need to repeatedly hear that one of Eleanor's house arrest was the inability to masturbate. I mean, really.

Not feeling this book, but I was hoping for more history and less thrusting.

I really liked Alison Weir's Innocent Traitor, and I love reading historical dramas by real historians, but DAMN, I was surprised by the explicit sex in the book. It doesn't bother me, but I know it does others (and it did catch me off guard since I didn't pick it up for my smut-needs).

So, I picked this one up because 1. It was dirt cheap
2. I wanted to know this book/series a little better to catch references in other works
3. Who doesn't love a little pulpy fun
4. Scott Brick. and Scott Brick narrating pulp? Yes, please.

I don't know. World building is terrible. The country is 70% city? Drugs are cut with crack to tone them down? Really?

Apparently, I'm on an English history kick.

I stalled out on the first chapter twice in the past. I'm hoping to make it through the book in this sitting (I'm all the way to Ch 3!)

Bored. Unimpressed. Snooze.

OMG, a Man Booker, and I don't hate it!

It's full of Moore's signature humor, but I'm just not feeling this one. Maybe I'm just not an artsy person.

Bo-ring.

This isn't a bad book, but it isn't a good one, either. So far I'm bored. Both with the plot and the characters. I hope one or the other (I'd prefer both) pick up, soon.

This book is amazingly and endearingly fun.
The narrator is doing a fantastic job in this one.

This book is taking me much longer to read, because it's a book that requires so much more attention than the "regular" (and than I expected).
It also requires long stretches of sit-down-and-read that I haven't been able to give it.
It is inspiring me to think about adding an amazeballs shelf to my list, though (which, yeah, I should probably wait til I'm done with it to assign, but I'm loving it).

In the cast of this book, the internet isn't ruining my ability to concentrated, but the poor writing/organization of the book is sapping my will to live.
