Decided to reread this before reading March by G. Brooks.
After 150+ years, the girls haven’t aged well. They are too self-aware for teen girls. But the interactions between the sisters is still awesome.
Alcott is credited with creating a new writing style. The March sisters have influence the American Girl dolls.
Originally published in 1868 & 1869 as two volumes. Volume 1 obviously wrapped up after chapter 22.
