Laughing out loud pretty much every page at the embarrassing situations. So well done. Brutal.

For my money, the best comic series of 2019, and this is the end.

Between discovering this and Dreams of the Rarebit Fiend, McCay has become one of my all-time favorite artists. Absolutely visionary stuff for 1905-1909. It still feels really fresh today, no one does comics storytelling like it. Incredibly precise artistic vision. This XXL book is as big as a TV, too, which is pretty fun if you don't have to go anywhere with it.

Still in love with BEE's writing style, but damn, a lot of conflicting thoughts about this one, his first non-fiction book (of opinions). He has some very interesting thoughts on contemporary gayness, a topic he hugely influenced me on back when I was a teen, but he also spends half of the book defending provocative old tweets. It's a toss-up right now.

Why didn't anyone tell me this was super, super gross? The art is impressive and the imagination is wild, but oh my god, this is so gross. I can't even keep reading it.
Update: All right, upon further research (going to the book's goodreads page), I see that the description clearly says: "Be warned, this book is not for the faint of heart." Maybe I should have known, but usually that kind of descriptor is my thing.
