Maya Banks used to be one of my favorite authors. Her last trilogy was not very good and this book was even worse. It felt like she wrote the same scene over and over again. And the steamy sex is missing and intensity of emotions were weak and watered down. I don't think I will be reading anymore of her books for awhile.

Not my cup of tea!

It was a good, quick read. I don't think it was the first book in the series, but the author does a good job of seamlessly adding in previous characters so you are not lost and it doesn't feel like she just wrote that scene to explain them. I probably won't read any others, I just don't have the time and I enjoy other authors more, but all in all a good book. I would recommend you read it.

Was pretty good for a 1st person pov. The writing was good, but I don't think I will read more in the series. Just not my cup of tea. Definitely didn't waste my time or money though.

Surprisingly good considering I don't usually like first person POV. Daniels does the very well. Still trying to figure it all out though. Which is good too. :-)

The second book was just as predictable as the first (plot-wise). The writing was really good, so that made up for a lot of predictability. All in all it was a good book.

I liked the first novella by Shayla Black. The only problem is that everything seems to end all at once in the last two or three chapters.

So, I didn't enjoy this book as much as previous one. I wasn't especially looking forward to it either, but didn't want to be lost when the next one came out. There was something missing and I can't quite put my finger on what it was. Anyway, I came away thinking that I am really glad there are only three more left in the series. I'm just as tired as Jim seems to be. LOL

Typical Ward book. Lots of people doing things I don't understand. Plot twists that you never see coming and little things pop up that you totally forgot in previous books.

Eh, it was ok, but I didn't enjoy the [lot twist at the end. no hea so far. :-(

Only had time for one chapter. And OMG who would have guessed that would happen!? Me. I've been around the block a time or 100. LOL

It started off strong. I liked all the snark and I enjoy getting to know the characters. No for the dangerous part...getting deeper into the story without bogging me down with too many details that distract me.
