This isn’t as good as the show but it is still making me giggle and kick my feet sooo I can’t be mad about it

i’m eating this up, i can’t tell if i think it’s as good as i heard or not though. i think i like it but sometimes the video game mechanics of it are just kind of.. bleh??? idk it’s making me want to just play video games instead though

mr jones just has such an intense way of describing things that everytime something happens im sitting here like??? hey what???? why can i perfectly imagine this and also am so astounded. like he makes every act of violence seem like an eldritch horror, it’s always so visceral and confusing and so well described that i just sit in awe of his writing

i cannot imagine what happens in the rest of this book, i’m not very far, but so much stuff has happened and i KNOW so much more stuff is about to come that i cannot even wrap my head around. i think this is my favorite author?? i just can’t conceptualize anything that could happen in his books and every time i read what’s happening i feel like it’s my first time on earth. I love stephen graham jones.
