Couldn’t sleep, so started on some reading for an informative speech I have to do about the benefits of sign language as a means for communication for hearing people.

C. S. Lewis wrote, “Everyone says forgiveness is a lovely idea, until they have something to forgive.”

Book is starting to discuss when T*RF logic started to come into play, and trying to equate trans* people existing to Nazisim is nasty work, even for them.

I don’t like how D.D. is treating/regarding Flora and her mother as survivors of a deeply horrific event. I’m over here like, “D.D., what are we doing, bestie?” Also, I appreciate that I don’t have to read the other books in this series to enjoy this one. I love a series whose books also work as standalone.

I have never read any of her books or any of the previous books in this series, but a coworker got me interested with this one.

"And if she didn't want to go with the guards? Power is relative, my lord." Ravenna let heat creep into her voice. "I thought I'd taught you that if nothing else. Tell me you understand." - Finally, we're getting somewhere.

Reading Queen's Shadow prompted me to finally get started on this because there's a scene in Queen's Shadow that won't make complete sense unless you've read this.

Loved the details of how the queen’s attire isn’t just ornamental, but serves as defense, subterfuge, and deflection as well.

Originally, I only suspected Rand might be the Dragon, but after this last chapter, it basically confirms that.

I’m in such a reading slump. It’s not even funny.

Finally, we are going places. It was starting to get bogged down there for a second, which was making it hard for me to dedicate my time to.

*sigh*

My coworkers have finally decided to allow me to enjoy my audiobooks at work once again rather than interrupting me at every turn.
