Book 28 in the series, and all of a sudden the audiobook narrated by someone else, which is akin to a character in a TV series being replaced by a different actor... need to adjust to this!

What a great story, I enjoyed every minute of reading this book. Liz Trenow is becoming one of my favourite authors.

I've been reading this for a week and have only just got past the half-way point, which is unusually slow for me. There's nothing really wrong with the book, I just don't have much inclination to pick it up. Will I make it to the end I wonder?

I've read 62% of this and my Kobo tells me I have 2 hours left, which, I'm sorry to say, is too long, so it's a DNF from me. Too many metaphors and a flowery writing style make it hard to follow and I am easily distracted from the plot.

This book came out in 1989, and I am astonished that there are no ratings yet for it on Goodreads. Five people have marked it as To Read and three (including me) are currently reading it! Will leave a review when finished.

I did read this when I was about 12, but I don't think I ever finished it (I was somewhat traumatised by the opening shower scene). So why not try it again as an adult?
