Just a few chapters in and I’m already feeling like I’ve been dropped right back into the thick air of South Louisiana.
With roots in Crowley, there's something electric about reading a story set in places that feel like home — where the moss hangs low, the people speak in rhythm, and the heat isn’t just weather, it’s attitude.

Gonna put this one on hold, realized it's book two in a series, so gonna read the first one first ;)

I’m 11 chapters into Verity, and it’s absolutely gripping! Colleen Hoover masterfully builds suspense, keeping me hooked at every turn. Verity’s character is complex and difficult to understand, which only adds to the tension and intrigue. I find myself questioning her motives and actions, and it makes for a truly compelling read. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!

This was a by-chance purchase, and I’m so glad I picked it up. I’m only 25 pages in, but I’m already hooked. There’s something deeply familiar and comforting in this story—like I’m visiting the family of my childhood (maybe it’s the coonass in me talking!). The writing is sharp, inviting, and full of heart. It’s rare that a book grabs me this fast, but Tami Hoag might just have earned herself a new fan.

I really just want to get into this one! It has not worked to my advantage yet, but I will have Monday all to myself so if I don't make progress that day....

I just like 'em. No poetic reasoning, no tremendous life changing facts to the story line, I'm just enjoying reading Kendra Elliot's work.

Happy to report that Kendra Elliot isn't let me down!

Yup still digging this series, gotta go finish it.
