so far the writing feels a little amateurish, I was surprised to find out this isn't a debut, because why did we open with the physical description that read straight out of a fanfic I wrote in 8th grade

I actually usually enjoy this style of low plot, introspective story but I am so bored

I'm in a major reading slump so we're going back to the old tried and true nostalgia that is this series while I eagerly await the new PJO book this year.

I just realized that Elena Grishina is standing in for Elena Mukhina in this narrative and my blood is cold, I can't put this down.

I've been a pretty bad reading slump the last month but this is getting me out of it.

I read this way back in 6th grade but with the movie coming out this week I figured I'd give it a reread since it's been 13 years since then.

Still in my Alice Oseman era. I'm a little older than the target audience, but these books were very clearly written by someone who experienced 2014 Tumblr and I find the lives of these teenagers so nostalgic to read about (even though I was a teen myself only a few years ago)

I am not a romance reader and I think a witchy, magical setting is my best chance of actually enjoying one so.... We'll see
