Off to a great start! Reading to my nine year old daughter.

Argues that those who seek to preserve their essence (viz., by seeking the Good) uphold that which constitutes their nature. However, those that willingly or ignorantly seek evil, do no uphold their nature and therefore cannot properly be called human (walking dead).

Four more chapters to go.

Through Hell and in Purgatory: through the gates of St. Peter. Lifted up through the flames by an eagle with wings of gold, Lucia.

Satan, the three headed beast! They are through the Inferno and headed into Purgatory.

Chapter 7! My kids are enjoying this.

Eighth Circle of Hell, Sixth Purse: Dante weeping over the judgment of God and the distortion of the boiling sinners is a tragedy not a comedy!

On chapter 6! My kids are loving it. The strange Russian man has just come to town.

Through the first chapter; reading this with my 9 year old daughter before she begins 4th grade!

Canto XIII: Seventh circle of Hell, second level, the violence to self. Many are boiling in blood and Dante is, well, quite horrified.

Reading this to my Grammar II children in literature class: A real joy!

Canto IX, fourth circle of Hell. Dante has met Virgil and seen the poets and philosopher and have passed over the River Styx. Things are getting...bleak.
