Sympathetic Characters. A sympathetic character would most certainly be Draco Malfoy. It is quite easy to understand why he would dislike muggle born wizards or witches, because he comes from a family consisting of intelligent wizards and even is tied to Voldemort. Another sympathetic character is Ron, as he does come from a poor family and always has to wear hand-me-downs from his brothers and father.

Character Development. During the transition from the goblet of fire to the order of the Phoenix, Harry shows his tremendous gain of maturity, as well as obvious signs of growing up. Harry is obviously able to live on his own, and he has even had a couple face offs with Voldemort, but he is still forced to go back to his aunt and uncle Dursley every summer which deeply troubles him.

Character Development: Ron Weasley is showing signs of growing up. He is accepting of Harry and his peers. Ron Weasley was also quite supportive when Harry won the Goblet of Fire. This shows that Harry and Ron are becoming better friends than they already were.

In the book, Harry Potter the goblet of fire, the protagonist, Harry, is the hero. He could also be "the chosen one". Ron, Harry's best friend, is the clown or the character that usually begins comedic relief. Hermoine is the smart, proper character. Professor Dumbledore is the teacher, or the caretaker. He is very wise and cares a lot about Harry.

The main setting of the book is at Hogwarts school of magic. The book takes place most likely in the future or during modern day. There is a diverse community of wizards and withers taking courses in the Hogwarts school of magic. Some people come from a muggle family, or a non magic family, like Hermoine. Others, like Harry Potter, come from a magic family.

I think that in the Harry Potter series, the overall archetype is Heaven vs. Hell, or good vs. evil. Harry from our point of view is the good guy and Voldemort is the bad guy. This could also be fire vs. ice. Fire represents knowledge and life. Harry lived Voldemorts attack. Voldemort was weak after that, showing that ice means "can't sustain life".

The Harry Potter series is Overcoming the Monster. The monster is Voldemort, but there are also a lot more. In the goblet of fire, the monster is his fears. He overcomes his fears of dragons, mermaids, etc. This book is also a quest. It is a quest because he is searching for the answers as to why he survived voldermort's attacks.

The conflict in this book is that Harry is doing something he does not have a desire to do. Harry was chosen to participate in the Goblet of Fire games. He does not want to participate, because every game you participate in can literally kill the challenger. Throughout the book, we see Harry completing these challenges even when he feels at his worst and does not want to.

This is a character driven book. It is character driven because it shows Harry slowly maturing as he participates in the Goblet of Fire games. The goblet of fire games are basically the olympics of magic. Also, this shows Ron and Hermoine's maturity. They become more smarter and are making more adult like decisions.

This is the 4th book of the Harry Potter series. Harry is now 4 years older, making him more mature. He is old enough to now compete in the "Olympic games" of wizardry and witchcraft. Harry has to complete many tasks and obstacles to be crowned the victor of the games. He represents Hogwarts, while some competitors from other places represent their schools.

Neville Longbottom is a static character. He stays as the same awkward, clumsy kid in Hogwarts. Harry Potter, on the other hand, is very dynamic. We can see he is maturing after he starts to experience things that young adults normally would; love, hatred, and violence. Harry is just growing and changing which proves that he is a dynamic character.

Coming of age, Science Fiction, mystery. I feel that this is mystery because I do not know what will happen until the games happen from the goblet of fire. This is Sci Fi because there is magic, and obviously the magic in Harry Potter is not used in real life. This is also coming of age because Harry, Ron, Hermoine, and other characters are children who are becoming young adults.

Reflection on main character
I will reflect on Harry Potter. Harry is an orphan, living with this crazy aunt and uncle. He hates it! Harry learned that he was a wizard and started to attend Hogwarts. Throughout this series, Harry learns about himself. He learns that he is related to a prisoner in Azkaban, Sirius Black, and he has also learned that he is famous for surviving and attack by Lord Voldemort.

Sirius Black is the mentor and the rebel in this book. Black rebels against his evil family, and seeks to help Harry. He also is mentoring Harry. When Black is in the fire pit and he has a discussion with Harry, he tells him to be safe. Black mentors and cares for Harry as he is also rebelling against the evil people in his family.

I am sympathetic for Ron. I can relate to Ron. He does not come from a wealthy family. He always gets his brother's hand-me-downs. I think he makes good choices at the school of magic: Hogwarts. He is very intelligent, and shows that you don't have to be wealthy or rich to be successful. I cannot relate to Harry. I've never been in a similar situation as him. It's probably because I'm not a wizard.

I keep reading this book because I want to complete the Harry Potter series. I have a couple of friends who have read the whole series, and I'd like to "fit in". I also do like the creativity. The book is very detailed for a fiction, fantasy, novel.

Characterization of a main character. Ron Weasly: Ron is a shaggy haired red head living with a big family. He is Harry's best friend, and he is not quite organized. Ron is a perfect for Harry! He shows up to every quidditch match and gets very excited.

This book is chronological. Harry does have flashbacks, but that was in the last book, Chamber of Secrets. In this book, Harry goes from the cafe, to the bus, to hogwarts, etc. It all goes in an order, not randomness or related to it.

The protagonist, Kobe Bryant, is a man who has spent his whole life playing basketball. He dropped out of high school to go to the NBA. Mr. Bryant had dreamed of being in the NBA on his favorite team, the Lakers. He played with many of the most recognized players: Shaquille O Neal, etc. Kobe is married, and has kids. He currently is about to retire from the NBA, but he might become a coach for a team in the league.

Harry has now entered the chamber. A nasty fight happens between him and the basilisk. This reveals his braveness. Harry snuck into a different dorm room, spoke to a random house elf, and is now fighting a large, snake. This snake goes floor to ceiling in a HUGE room. Harry is doing all of this to save his friend Ron's sister, Ginny. This could mean that Harry could like Ginny too....

Harry is now going to fight a basilisk. I don't know what that is, but I think it is a monster that is in the dungeon that Harry wants to go to. He wants to go because Ginny Weasley, Ron's sister, was taken down there by the monster. There have been signs of this monster, even a house-elf of a dark family has come to Hogwarts just to warn the boy that survived voldemort that a monster is coming sometime soon.

I have a prediction that Harry will enter the chamber of secrets. He has been trying to collect a hair strand from the wizard clan "Slytherin". He is collecting this to make a potion that will transform him into the person that DNA is from. He needs this to get into the bathroom in the Slytherin clan, where a secret knob opens a door to the chamber.

Setting: The setting of my book is in modern day. It takes place in a school of magic called Hogwarts. Its location is unknown, the only way to get there is by a secret passage in a train station. Hogwarts has 4 sections, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Then, of course, are the teachers. These sections define the students of this school based on their personalities and strengths in wizardry.

Harry has been quite a mean kid towards his defense against the dark arts teacher, Professor Snape. He acts quite rude in class, and doesn't pay attention as if he knows everything in that class. Snape does not like his behavior, but signs lead to the fact that Snape may like Harry.

I can make this a text to world connection because I can see Ian McKellen playing dumbledore. Ian McKellen also starred as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. I can also relate text to self. Harry wad very new to all this Wizardry at Hogwarts, and I was very new to the style of learning at MBMS.

The tone in this book is most likely whimsical, and funny. I feel it is whimsical because this book lands in the fantasy genre from all the wizardry and witchcraft in this book. It is funny because there are these chocolate cards, and when you open up the card th chocolate comes out. There are pictures of famous wizards that look like mugshots, and it was very humorous to me.

This book is very interesting. The setting is in Hogwarts, a magic wizard academy where Harry, the protagonist is taken to. Harry discovers that his dead parents were wizards. Harry is taken on a train to Hogwarts by a giant man named Hagrid. Hagrid works at Hogwarts and has been ordered to bring Harry to the wizard academy.

A minor character would be Mrs. P, the blind snake who takes care of Soren's family. She is a help because she cautions the young owls to be careful and not hurt themselves while the parents are gone. She is most definitely a good influence. Her role would be "the housekeeper". Mrs P. is no distraction, but she is now considered family since the family is with her all the time.

Character v. Character: Soren and Gylfie try to run away from St. Aggie's Academy. Many times they get caught "anti-moonblinking" themselves. Anti moonblinking is when you don't look at the moon at all during the night, that way the St. Aggie's owls have no chance to brainwash you.
