Seems as good a time as any to read a novel about the social disruption caused by automation replacing labor

Paul Campbell is finished with Flash Boys
My immediate reaction to finishing this book is that Kramer warned us of its central premise in a different market context 20 years ago: http://youtu.be/IkMdyWJ0-zc?t=30s

There are two strains of argument going through this book: one a media criticism that is concerned about the impacts of the Internet on our society, and the other an examination of neurological research concerned with the impacts on our brains and behaviors. Thus far, the second is far more compelling than the first

I would have stopped reading this book a while ago were it not for the content. This writing is bad and the logic is worse -- way too much results-based analysis, and even one quote of a Steve Kelley column is one too many to take this book seriously.
