The audiobook is poorly edited but the narrator is excellent!

Promising intro, and then immediately the first page of the rest of the book is starting to turn me off. His critique of modernity is not unwarranted but he commits the (very de Bottonian) flaw of asserting, very generally and without evidence, that organized religion contained (contains) the antidotes to those problems.

Bored. (Sorry.)

Opening with a discussion of suicide among perfectionists. My kind of book.

Not even done with the introduction and I hate it already. Bluster, strawmen... looks like Malcolm Gladwell by another name

This has been on my list since hearing the author and an excellent moderator at BBF 2016. It's everything I expected it to be. Writer's voice is a little twee at times but this is shaping up to be one of the best reads of the year.
