Rachel Allene > Recent Status Updates

This is starting to put me in a slump. I’ve switched to audiobook at 2x speed and it’s a bit easier to digest in distracted housewife mode. But still. Ughhhh. I’ve already taken the other books in this series off my shelf to bid adieu.

I have no desire to finish this outside of being invested 121 pages of reading time. Sigh. I’ve clearly outgrown the annoying Becky Bloomwood routine. It’s not funny - she needs to stop being a whiny greedy bumhead and grow up. I haven’t decided if I’m going to finish this or not, but the series is definitively DNF’d.

My main thought is how good this book smells, and how perfectly holdable it is. All books should be manufactured this way.

But I’m enjoying the light read, too. :)

Okay so yeah, this is not a Christian inspiration book. lol

All the talk of God at the beginning definitely set me up to fail. I should’ve researched it I s’pose. 🤣

Finishing, but skipping a LOT of content.

Listening to the audiobook for free on YouTube. It’s making me nostalgic for all the Love Inspired and Heartsong Presents novels I read as a kid. ♥️

I’m bored. 100 pages in and nothing very interesting has happened. I guess I’m mildly-ish intrigued as to why she’s named heiress? Mostly, I just don’t want the money I spent on this to have been a waste. So onward I read. Blah.
