Interesting...it has me intrigued enough to continue reading. Though, I do feel the need to occasionally roll my eyes at parts.

I want to feel bad for Elsie, and before she died, in the scene at the park with the other girls, I did feel bad for her. But, for the most part, she's just as awful as the other girls. I don't particularly care for anybody them...maybe Jane?

Does anyone else feel the overwhelming need to smack Jake upside the head half the time? And is there really a point to having us read it from his POV? I don't know...I feel like I could really do without it.

I'm honestly not sure why I'm still reading it. May be because it's all I have with me right now.

I'm starting to get more invested in it. The world she is creating really sounds unique and I love the magic aspects.

The descriptions are beautiful, and very detailed...but sometimes they're so elaborate, I get taken out of the story, and my mind starts wandering. I'm finding it hard to concentrate on the book. I want to give it a better shot (try reading it at a time that is not 5 AM), and so I'm going to keep going. But I don't know. It's kind of slow. But the world she's creating is so interesting, and I really like it.

I love that Clara Bow is referenced! She's my favorite silent movie actress.
