So many names. I’m confused. And I’ve been skipping the descriptions of violence and flashbacks, because nope, not doing that. And there are no pets. The best parts have been the nature spirit being unintentionally funny (an omelette with coffee 🤣) and Havoc occasionally being funny too.

Oh they didn’t actually break up. Good.

Sigh. So predictable. I feel like I’ve already read this book a bunch of times. Why is it always the snotty rich parent of the rich MC telling the not rich MC that he’s not good enough, and the not rich MC aaaaalways believes them no matter how much evidence is to the contrary. Sigh. Third act breakup it is. I’m so annoyed.

Aside from me almost dying inside at the threat of a threesome, I’m ok. But it was so completely unnecessary. Also, it’s not like it helped much. They’re still in denial. The big reveal of their anonymous hookup was very anticlimactic as well. Makes me feel like it was completely pointless. So yeah.

Ok don’t get me wrong I love this book, but the AUDACITY of Leo?? Why the fuck does he think he has a say in who Matty dates. He’s treating him like a child. As is Seb for deciding about Matty over his head. Letting Leo hand him ultimatums. Sure, it comes from a place of self-loathing and guilt, but it’s so disrespectful to Matty. I don’t like it.

Oh shoot, I want to binge this book really bad, but I gotta sleep and work. Ugh. So far it’s been excellent, all this angsty pining, in a great way. I love Matty and Seb. Gimme more.

I love this narrator. Gary Furlong makes everything better than it already is.

Oh yeah that’s the stuff. Took a bit but now I’m starting to recognize the Mary Calmes.

Now this is more like it. This feels similar to Last Christmas in London (I don’t remember the exact title, sue me). That’s exactly what I want from Con Riley.

“P-spot”…????? wtf? I would say it sounds like a straight woman who usually writes MF, but seeing as this is actually written by one of the few male authors… I’m just lost.

I’m not feeling it. I feel a disconnect from the MCs, it makes me not feel invested. I don’t know why. Gary is great as usual. I already cried or teared up multiple times over the little girl that died. So out-of-this-world sad. But I kinda can’t seem to get into the couple.

I will be so fucking pissed if this book does not end with them together. I have not suffered through this teenage angst only to see them not end up together.

Oh god… I have a bad feeling about this Wayne dude. Maybe he is in cahoots with Drew. I haven’t read Tal enough to know his style, but everything I know of his writing points to him not being predictable. But Dakota needs someone else to help with this, so Wayne would serve that purpose, unless he’s in on it of course. Gaah. I’m gonna lose it.

Wish it would just end here when they’re all happy and together again. No need for a crazy serial killer, I swear. We’re good like this.

I think I’m breaking new crying records for myself. Also, Heath the sheriff is either the serial killer or he’s going to be the MC of the next unreleased book in this series. Right now I’m leaning towards the former. Gotta be someone we know right?

Stupid 90% break-up and stupid misunderstanding. So predictable. I hope it won’t be as bad as him finding Dean with someone else now for yet another misunderstanding. And poor Ruby being used as a plot device. No attention on her once Jonas understood that he’d been an asshole to Dean for no reason. She’s basically forgotten.

Not a fan of someone getting jealous over an ex and being possessive. It’s not that I think it’s wrong, I just don’t find it hot or whatever. And I hate any mention of exes or sex with others. It’s my only issue with this book, the recurring mention of exes or running into them or Dean talking about stuff he’s done. Nope nope nope.

I did not expect to love this but I do. Cora and I have a rocky relationship these days. But this is the Cora I know and love. I’m really into bratty characters vs stoic ones such as Diablo and Skylar. Hope it stays good.

Yeah sooo I’m not enjoying this Kurt-wants-to-try-dating thing. Penn needs to get his shit together and stop that asap. Ugh. Also not a fan of Penn having a boyfriend even if he’s on his way to break it off with him.

I can’t help but feel it’s a bit of a waste to have Gary Furlong do a book like this. He’s capable of so much more. The intensity of Jay Hogan’s novels feels like a better show of his skills somehow. Oh well. Better Gary than some other narrator for this even if there isn’t much going on.

God I fucking hate Aidan’s parents. Can they just fuck off and die. They ruined such a beautiful moment and they are ruining Aiden’s happiness. Fucking assholes. I hope he runs away and tells them it’s their own fucking fault.

😭😭😭 Crying my eyes out over the old lady’s lost love. HE IS WAITING FOR HER IN HYDE PARK AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. Oh my heart. That’s so freaking heartbreaking and romantic. His ghost has been waiting for so many years to be reunited with her. 🥺🥺🥺

But like. This Harrison dude solved this in 2 seconds, no strings attached. So again, what was even the point of the body sharing? Unless it’s returning in another book. It better not. It was so annoying. Now please go tell Danny. I have a feeling the murderer will try to kill Tristan first though just for kicks… 🙃

Nah, they’re SHARING the body instead now. Ugh. I’m so done with this book. Such a pity. The only thing I’m interested in now is Dusty going away and Tristan getting to smooch Danny. Oh, and tell him about the ghost thing. Hopefully without too much drama. But instead we’re getting random side characters…

OH THANK FUCK. Seriously I don’t even understand the point of the bodyswap now since it wasn’t of any use at all. Just for drama. It gave Chan some closure but that could’ve been done in a different way. It’s just stupid. But thank fuck it was fixed before Danny could get any more hurt.

And excuse me, but how much time can you spend on outfit descriptions? Excruciating detail on it too. It’s getting repetitive enough to be annoying. I’m not interested in the least. I don’t give a fuck what Dusty is wearing. Especially not when she has Tristan’s body. Just stop it. Switch back. Stupid plot.

Yeah, you’ve created this distance between you and Danny yourself, Tristan. By not telling him, by shutting him out. By not trusting him with the truth. It’s ridiculous. I hate that it was come to this, that a ghost body swap had to happen for you to maybe get your shit together. Stop hurting him.
