Great start...

I'm really enjoying it. It's very well written and I love the lead character. It felt a little "chick-lit" to begin with (no problem with that) but I'm sensing a much broader appeal as it gets further into the mystery.

Hard to believe this was written in the 20th Century; reads like a classic from a much earlier time - slightly reminiscent of Wilkie Collins. I'm really enjoying it!

Very informative with some great examples of literary excellence; some of which are daunting to the debut novelist others are quite reassuring!

I'm only 25% in and so far I'd say it's subtly disturbing with frighteningly real observations on relationships and I think it's beautifully written. I can't read books anymore without thinking about the structure and I do like this kind of twin-track plot device where you just know both threads are heading towards a (hopefully) big impact...
