Hi, hey, hello!

I'm still alive, just RL stuff kept me from regularly updating my reading list. But I just posted a bunch of old reviews, so sorry for the spam! 😄

It's already so much more engaging than the previous book. The prose is better too. I'm cautiously optimistic about this story 🤞🏻

I did it, I finally finished this one!

RTC, but it was rather disappointing :C A huge downgrade compared to the first book in the series.

I'm super behind with updating my reading list/reviews, but surprisingly not with actual reading. I have four almost ready to be posted reviews (one is a very popular? classic historical), so that's nice.

I'm also currently reading "The Fake February Rake", and folks... I'm not feeling it 🥴 The first book in this series ("The Rake Review') was such a banger, I'm a little disheartened 😭

I don't know why I stopped reading Victoria Vale's 'The Gentleman Courtesans' series, it's so good 😌👌

It's also time to retire "His Improper Proposal" from 'currently reading'... I will finish it someday 😓

I'm surprised how quickly I've read this one, but still - Idk guys, I was recommended this series and the author many, many times, but this story... Hm. 🤔

I did it! I finally finished this anthology (ok, I might skipped one novella...) 😌
I can't believe it took me almost a year, hah.

RTC, but it's just going to be a compilation of all the individual reviews I did for most of the stories. I think only one novella didn't have a standalone release.

I'm so annoyed with myself that I haven't picked up "A Midnight Requiem: The Ghostly Hour" anthology earlier. I'm two novellas in and they were fantastic - spooky, swoony, and hot 🥰

This one was so good; what a difference from the previous story in this series🥺 RTC, but I highly recommend it! Colin was *chef's kiss*

This book is so much better than the previous one. The chemistry, the angst, pining, longing stares. So good!

I decided to remove my review of "Yule Be My Duke" by Darcy Burke, as the standalone version of the novella seems to include some additional scenes and epilogues (?) not present when I've read it in the "Duke in the Box" anthology. Maybe I will read the newer version in the future, but I'm not sure.

I'm around 30% into the story, and I gotta say - it's kind of MEH 😭 H and h are hot for each other, but there's no real chemistry there...

I finished this one on Thursday and I will for sure write longer review (I'm so behind with them *sighs*), but I wanted to post a small note to say IT WAS AWESOME! 💙💕💙 Lots of "firsts" for me, true, but I was so pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. It might even cure my reading slump!

Some weeks ago I posted a note about me changing how I rate books here, mentioning making it more in sync with my TSG reviews. It was mostly about lack of half stars here (*hint hint* GR). I wanted to use plus signs, but then I thought it's kind of silly, so I'm just going to use decimals 🤷‍♀️

I'm around 70% of this one (it's really REALLY good, my gosh), and I just realised it's by the author of the infamous "milking" minotaur book 🤭 Not goanna lie, now I want to read that one too 🤫😏

After more than a year of cross-posting on STG, I think it's good idea to tidy up the ratings I gave.

Without half stars on GR I will just take any plus signs as 0,25 stars, for example 3+ would be 3,25 star, or 3+++ is 3,75 (sometimes rounded to 4), and so on.

After months of no reading at all I'm suddenly overwhelmed with number of books I need to write some short reviews for 😅😪

Since the New Year's I'm struggling with health issues and I don't have as much time and energy to read much. My reviews will most likely lack the usual details and depth, and be far in between. I hope to go back to reading more and writing soon.

I'm revisiting this one. Maybe it'll be better the second time?
