I am so annoyed that Goodreads got rid of the feedback group!

There is a major bug hitting the site where dozens (if not hundreds) of cover images have been broken and blanked out. This has been happening for the past few months. Normally deleting the broken image and then re-uploading the cover will fix the problem, but not this time! No amount of trying to re-download the image and re-upload the cover will work.

Ok, this was recommended to me as an erotic romance with a sweet, dirty-talking hero. Let's hope the hero is actually sweet as advertised, and not some creepy, domineering jerk. My expectations are always so low, lol.

Ok, I picked this up for free, so I figured it was worth a shot, even if the hero sounds like a major asshole just from reading the blurb. This does allegedly have a heroine who likes to take charge in the bedroom, but I'm not too hopeful it will turn out to be true. I haven't found an erotic romance yet where that's actually the case.

Oh my, looks like Alek likes it a little rough! I do believe this is the first hair-grabby makeout session I've ever read in YA, lol. “You like that, do ya, boyfriend?” indeed. ;)

Just started reading this for the YA LGBT group's monthly read. Looks like a super cute m/m romance, and the cover is so adorable.

Read this before, but decided to go through it again before I write a review. Hands down, this is my favorite sex education book!

Rapist hero alert! Jesus Christ, I already hated these characters, but the author just took things to a new low. This isn't just rapey non-con stuff in bed, it's out and out rape. He throws her on the ground, ignores her kicks and punches, and rapes her. Finally she bites him and he stops, but she forgives him immediately. The rape is excused because he was worked up and she was physically aroused. Fuck that!

I would make such a bad romance heroine, lol. If I were Harley, I'd have seduced Nolan before the book even began and dragged TJ to my apartment back on page 5, so there really wouldn't have been much of a story. Harley's such a shrinking violet in the sex department and I just don't get her conflict. She wants TJ. What's stopping her from being with him?

These characters are really shallow and horrible. And I hate cheaters. Apparently the hero is so good in bed that the heroine doesn't even care that she thinks he has a girlfriend. His magical penis completely overrides her moral compass.

Unprotected sex with a one night stand you picked up in an elevator? Smart move, guys. The heroine doesn't mention a condom, the hero thinks briefly about it before ejaculating inside her, and they continue having unprotected sex all night long. Yes, it's one of those books where the hero's magical penis never goes soft and they enjoy marathon sex for hours and hours. Pregnancy? Disease? Apparently not on the radar.

Good lord, this is going to be one of *those* books. The hero has an "enormous cock" and "outrageously large erection" and the heroine seems like a total size queen. And we're barely into the first sexytimes, lol.

Damn, I had higher hopes for this heroine. I was expecting her to be more badass based on her appearance in the previous book. She's got a tough name (Harley), she's more of a tomboy, and she's a wildlife biologist/mechanic/tow truck driver. I didn't expect her to be so....passive and timid. Sexually speaking, she seems so shy, so afraid to make the first move, and gives the hero all kinds of mixed signals.

Heroine and her sister are discussing the hero and apparently he is "allll alpha." (extra l's!) I still don't get this whole "alpha" thing. Is it just supposed to mean rugged and masculine or something? Because I'm honestly not seeing how TJ is that different from his more "beta" brothers.

"Such as waiting on Nolan to make his move sexually, when she was so overcharged she'd probably explode during her next shower."

Ok, I really want to like this heroine, but she seems awfully timid. If she's sexually frustrated, what the hell is *she* waiting for? Go on, woman, make the first move. I never get why women are willing to miss out on hot sex and/or an awesome relationship. If you want him, take him!

Ok, this was recommended to me as a romance in which the heroine prefers to have non-penetrative sex. Color me extremely skeptical that this book is actually going to conclude without her having intercourse with the hero, but I'm willing to keep an open mind!

Finished now. A little confused why some people have shelved this as "menage," but I think it must be because some side characters are in a poly relationship. All the sex scenes in this book are between the hero and heroine only.

Still confused why the cover copy describes the hero as a "bad boy." I guess it's because he has a partying, womanizing past since his actions during the book itself did not scream "bad boy." Unless just being a rock star with tattoos qualifies.

Closer to the end of the book now. On the plus side, I like that the heroine is more assertive than you usually see in erotic romance. I also like that there are some hot non-penetrative scenes, because sex is more than just PIV intercourse. On the minus side, while she is assertive and active during sex, the hero is still dominant. She never gets to be totally in control, which is kind of a disappointment.

Chapter 10. Now we've got to some hot, dirty floor sex, lol. Don’t care for rough sex in my romance novels, but this isn't too bad. A bit rough, but not too rough. She is still a very active and assertive heroine, so no complaints there!

No page numbers, but I'm on chapter 3. So far, so good. First sexytimes have arrived and she is quite assertive. But Jesus, it seems like every erotic romance has unsolicited anal. Isn't it polite to at least *ask* first? It's the heroine doing it to the hero this time, not the other way around, but I'm not one for double standards. Since when did it become acceptable to try that without getting any kind of go-ahead?

Ok, been trying to find erotic romances with heroines that are a bit more active instead of passive in bed, and I had someone recommend me Lauren Dane. Description sounds promising, so we’ll see.

God, this is already not going well. Hero seems like a real jerk, alpha male, cocky, promiscuous, with caveman tendencies. He's got the requisite tragic past too. I haven't even gotten to the sex yet and I already can imagine how it's going to go.

Loved the first two in the series, so looking forward to this one. T.J. is the oldest brother; apparently he's more "alpha" than Stone or Cam, so that makes me a little nervous. Hope he's not controlling or dominating.

Ok, I had someone recommend me this book because there is apparently a scene where the hero and heroine switch roles. Not a fan of the romantic suspense genre, but we shall see....

Damn book, you were doing so well! The relationship is still pretty awesome, but these characters are getting engaged after knowing each other for 5 weeks??? That's just freaking insane. Obviously this is a romance and there needs to be a HEA, but at least give them a decent amount of time before they decide to get married.

Turns out the hero is infertile. Is this a common romance trope? Apparently this is supposed to be a sign that he's perfect for the widowed heroine, since she already has 2 kids and doesn't want more. And he wants to be a dad, but was dating shallow, materialistic girls because he thought a good woman would dump him because he couldn't give her a baby.

Hero and heroine's relationship is moving along nicely. They have really good chemistry, hot sex, and I like that she's opening up to the possibility of having a real relationship with him. Friend with benefits guy is still visiting, and he's a sweet, nerdy beta type. He's got his own little side romance going on, which is cute. I like that even the minor characters have their own stories.

So far, so good. The sex scenes are hot, and the hero is a nice guy. Not dominating. Not demanding. Not creepy or inappropriate in the bedroom. He's actually really sweet. And I like the heroine. She seems realistic. A widow with young kids, a bit insecure about her body, can't believe a "younger man" (25 to her 32) is into her, lol.

Meh. I wasn't feeling the sexy with this one. It was explicit enough, but the love scenes were way too short. There just wasn't a whole lot of sizzle. Hero has awesome personality, a marine biologist who's a bit of a nerd. He's always kind and respectful, very beta, not dominating at all. Which is cool, but I didn't get swept away in their passion. It was more like really sweet lovemaking.

Heard this book has a beta hero, which is why I'm giving this author another try despite the fact that the 2nd book in this series has some non-consensual sex. There'd better not be any of that in here, or I'm bailing.
