Quick re-read for Book Club.

I didn’t think that I would start this one, let alone stay up way past my bedtime reading it last night. Isaiah was annoying in Caught Up. Not so much so far in Play Along.

Madden and Eve had that quiet, long standing devotion I love. He protected her without spectacle. The marriage of convenience worked for me, and the emotional payoff was worth the wait.

The Irish audiobook narration deserves five stars.

The baseball and burlesque side stories did not grab me, but when it was just the two of them, I was locked in.

Four stars.

I received this one in a “blind date with a book”. I chose it for the multiple trigger warnings. Hope it lives up to the hype.
