I am absolutely angry that it has taken this long to get interesting. At around 200 there was mild interest. At 300, I had a peaked higher level of interest. At almost 500 pages, I am finally invested. I like slow burns but this is ridiculous.

At page 312, it just starts picking up. I am a bit irritated, I know its historical fiction but I don't need that many details about their food stores or how the ropes are configured. Do some folks actually care about that? So far, this is very long winded....

I don't often read non-fiction, if I do it is memoirs or narrative style. This has captivated me!!! What an amazing writer! And...challenging my vocabulary a bit. Yes I have had to look up a few words. I am unashamed to admit it. I love learning new words in their context.

Wow. I am in knee deep. Good mystery. Great character building. These kind of books with deep character backgrounds remind me of why my head isn't built for fantasy. I need less world building and more characters!

I am soooo EXCITED to read this. I LOVED Addie LaRue and I hope this lives up to the hype and expectations.

Wow, I love a sweeping historical drama...hard to put this down.

I can't stop reading....how can this be slow for anyone? I'm so invested in these characters!!
