I think this is an excellent introduction for someone who has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease (as I have). It also helped me identify why certain family members have problems (my mother was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 30 years old, which could be from an untreated gluten intolerance).
I wouldn't call it an end-all-be-all book, but it's definitely helpful. Definitely recommended!

I'm really enjoying this book so far. It speaks to my views on food, cooking, even feminism and a woman's role in life. One of my fave quotes so far "We are surprised when someone doesn't know how to drive a car, but we are not at all surprised when someone doesn't know how to cook. Large corporations are more than happy to keep us in this state of helplessness."
