I'm going to give this a try. It was first published in 1987.... I don't usually do well with books from the 80's. The way women are written in 80's books usually makes me want to claw my eyes out. The premise of the story sounds good so I'm going in with nothing but positive thoughts!

Well, that was a sucky start to the beginning of this book! Not sucky bad, more like sucky sad. :(

I've never before cried while reading a crime thriller. This is a first.

Only 33 pages in and already Toby has been injured twice one of which involved her bleeding. It seems Ms. McGuire hasn't lost her love of injuring her main character. Let's see how many times she injures Toby and how many times she ends up near death. I'm guessing 6 injuries and 2 near deaths. I should start a drinking game.

Despite ALL the evidence to the contrary.... she believes the lies. *sigh*

I can't believe I'm doing this. Why am I doing this? Man I want to like the Kristen Ashley books, but almost every time I read one, I end up wanting to shoot myself in the head by the end of it. Please let this be one of the less frustrating ones!!!

I'm only about 30% into this book but so far I'm not liking Connor. What an ass!

This book seems to have dropped all plots except those circling all the ways Han can be made to look guilty. *yawn* 'Han is a murderer' drinking game anybody???

Doing a re-read before Skull Throne. Oh My Gawd - I HATE Reena! It's not often that I actually *hate* a character in a book, there are really great villains that I love to hate, but to actually just HATE a character is not often. But I HATE Reena. That girl is just ridiculous! She's like a rabid dog, barely house broken. I don't get Arlen & Reena at all. It's beyond stupid. It's like he dumbs himself down with her!

Wow, I've only just gotten started on this book and I'm already so into it! I've had such bad luck lately with YA books, but this one is off to a very good start!

I've just finished rereading Blood Song & Tower Lord and am beginning the final book but I'm not feeling too encouraged by the reviews. It sounds like the ball really got dropped on this one. I'm still reading it and I'm going in open minded. I will hope it concludes the story for me in a fantastic way.

So far I'm not impressed with the dialogue in this story. Stupid conversations and waaay too much time spent on those stupid conversations.

Man, I really wish I had known this was a 3 part story. I knew there were more books in the series but I thought each book would focus on a different character. Now I don't think I want to continue because now I know it's going to get all over the top angsty and it's going to be drawn out for 3 books! That's crap. I hate OTT stupid angst. I think I'm done.

Wow, the first 1/3 of this book has been hard to take. I'm so pissed over the injustice of it all.

Really? A late 20's, married & divorced, 21st century woman is going to spout the "oh my, will it fit" crap? Seriously?

I'm only through chapter 1 but I'm liking this! So far the entire story has been told through emails which is different and I like it. Also, it's funny and the narrator is doing a great job portraying the characters personalities and the humor.

I'm on chapter 19 right now and so far I'm liking it. The conversations between Elizabeth and Nathaniel seem a little too stiff and formal but I'm hoping they lighten up with each other as they spend more time together. It's probably good that I'm listening to the audiobook, Kate Reading is a great narrator and she's bringing the story to life for me. :)
