the Scottish accent in the audiobook is just as bad as i feared 😭

Less than 200 pages for me to start greeting (i.e. crying - feeling inspired also to break out the Scots a wee bit. Shout out a book set in Edinburgh)

Look. The consent focus and feeling safe is lovely, especially considering the MMC could literally eat her for dinner. But I just have to say it. The word "folds" should be never said in any sexy context. Also turns out them actually doing it is so much less satisfying than them just fancying each other and him choosing to not eat her cause he loves her. Anyway. Lots of thoughts.

Obsessed with this author writing fanfiction of their own book. Of course the sentient house wants a formal show of courtship according to ancient sorcery rituals. Fanfiction logic. 🫡

In the spirit of more regular goodreads updates: I havent picked this up in a few days. The plot keeps thickening. My guys are in too much mortal peril and I just keep thinking "THATS ENOUGH SLICES". So it's stressing me out too much to read. Tldr it's too good that I care too much and don't want to read abt something bad happening to the gang. Will pick up again soon i fear

Don't usually do these updates but just wanted to say going from Virginia Woolf to this was A Choice on my part.

Also, do dental hygienists have enough medical training to help with stab wounds? Unsure on that front but think life is easier with this series if you ask no questions 😂
