Returning to this. The writer has an exalted writing style that is surprisingly easy to read despite having large paragraphs.
Two death cult armies fighting against each other.

I could have been reading some of the best sci-fi in the world and instead I'm stuck slogging through soulless corporate slop.
Somehow this book is both a page turner and written in such way that it's exhausting to read.
It's really annoying, slop should be easy to read.

I find this kind of writing frustrating to read. Had similar problem with Expanse and Twilight: Life and Death. From one side I want to know what happens next, from other, it's mentally exhausting me quickly - in about 12-15 pages due to how it's written.
Yesterday, I did, like 5 reading sessions with few hours of reast between each.

Finished reading the White Nights part and started Underground Man. I like that stuff much more than Crime and Punishment, which I have dnfed because I didn't like reading about stuff like abject poverty and alcoholism.

Got through the 2000 word paragraph and now I stumbled upon another.
Enjoying the mental derangements of the protagonist, though.

Slowly grinding forward. I hoped to finish it during the first month of Warhammer+ subscription, but I was neglecting regularly reading it.

Huh, the protagonist seems to be a somewhat one-sided Ni-dominant. Fascinating.

Finally got out of the concentration camp part and I realised that the protagonist is a high functioning neurotypical.
Like, besides the initial abuse, she's playing life on easy mode - just doing what she wants without problems - learning, tutoring, doing chores, etc.
Reading such perspective makes me feel low key rage at injustice of genetics and stuff.
Also, her worldview became more alien.
