Ignition systems. The chapters on engines were fascinating.

That moment where the characters try to shrug off an obviously bad sign as nothing, and you're going, "No. Stop. Don't. If you ignore that, you deserve the consequences."

I have some predictions about this book and it's sequel. I have figured out who "the voice" was since book 3 at least, and I have a suspicion as to what Hatch really intends to do with the MEI and the data that has been gathered on all the electric youths. We'll see if I'm right.

The author certainly does a good job of making the villain(s) easy to despise.

The nice thing about owning the book you're reading is that you can take a pen to all the cuss words you run across. I could still do without them, though.

Ugh. I think I have an early un-edited edition. I forgot how much the grammar in this book drives me crazy. Typos hiding everywhere and horrible comma usage galore!

This feels more like a Jane Austin that mentions dragons like animals during rare trips to the zoo.

Ok I'm really liking this book. Only two swear words so far. Here's hoping it stays pretty clean.

Very interesting so far. Plenty of grit. I'm dreading finding something offensive, though, just because that's been my luck lately. Find a good book and then -BAM- crud.

Oh, the romantic angst!

"...[the sun] blazed defiantly in it's thin horizontal margin, scattering reds and oranges and fading purples across the belly of the ever-growing clouds." Ahh, sweet mind candy :)

I'm not sure why I'm forcing myself to keep wading through this. It's not a bad book, but the plot so far involves politics and finance.......a few subtle references to adultery and one swear word, but other than that, very tame so far. I dunno :|

It's dragging so far. I'm all for giving a new book a fighting chance, but I don't know how long this one will last.

Oh my gosh, I like this book already. The author is down-to-earth, genuine, and funny. And there are pictures :)

I think I just figured out a couple of plot points for the book (Okay, I know I got one - it just confirmed it) So excited!

Interesting so far. One of the themes seems to be heavily oriented around grief and overcoming it.

Still annoyed by one of the main characters who likes to use the D-word generously, and a few S-words have shown up. Seriously people, why? Why do you use substitute language in some parts, and then actual swears in others? Let's just go buy a car and throw away two of the tires, shall we?

Three D-words so far, but the violence has been tolerable. I hope this isn't another book I end up having to put down. The story and world are interesting.

Strike two. Keep grating on my nerves, book. Grrrrr!

Ooookay, not sure I am liking some of the elements of this book.

Wow, right off the bat, this definitely has some military flavor to it. We'll see where it goes.

Fun reading with the hubby, but I can see places in the book that need fine tuning.
