Grace is just such a fine, honorable heroine. I admire her greatly and wish she were a real lady, not just a construct of someone's imagination.

I love this book and am so glad it was on sale on the Kindle Daily Deals, but I wish an editor would go back over it because there are quite a few corrections to make.

It is 72% of the way through and I STILL don't understand the title! Who is the concubine? Lydia? Her mom?

This book is so very awesome. I still cannot figure out the title, though. I definitely want to read more by this author after this book.

I chose this book because I am fascinated with Russian history, but it turns out that the title is a bit misleading. Though the heroine is Russian, this novel showcases an impressive display of knowledge of Chinese culture and history. I am engrossed totally.

One percent of the way through this book and I'm hopelessly snared. It is as thought I am actually there! I am transported, and so I must read this from cover to cover.

Er, doesn't the bad guy also know the identity of mom and girlfriend? Will he scruple at arresting them to get to Richard? Why don't they all run away immediately? This is dumb. The problem ending is just too happy.

I know I must suspend disbelief whilst reading fluff fiction, but there is no possible way that he would let Amy go so she could run back and collect reinforcements to rescue him. I'm sorry, but he would've kept her on hand to hold over Richard's head. That part is dumb.

I find it difficult to believe that the brilliant Amy has not even considered the possibility that her new friend is nothing more than he says he is. I suppose she is supposed to be naive and idealistic, but she is just making herself look like a dummy to me.

This author is so hilarious. I absolutely love Amy! "Let's all go have a glass of lemonade and talk it over." She is so headstrong and persistent.

After two paragraphs of this book, I am hooked. Will it has such a way with prose that is just delightful. I hope I become addicted to this series.

This is a different kind of book than I am used to reading, but it is very compelling. I agree with other reviewers that it really just pulls you in. It is very dark and macabre, of course.

I am enjoying this book. It is pretty much what I expected it to be, though. I am able to put it down at any spot then pick it back up a long time later without having to get my bearings again.

Oh this is excruciatingly brutal. I haven't bawled over a book in ages! I had to take a Goodreads break just to put it in perspective! This stupid book better have a happy ending or I'm going to be mad.

This close to the conclusion, I am usually just awaiting the ending I saw coming from page 1. I honestly do not know how this will turn out nor whom she will end up in love with. Awesome.

I give up. I cannot even slog through the final 25%. Where are the faetoren? That was the only slightly interesting part of this novel and they are nowhere to be found.

Who is this author and how many more of her books may I devour? This one is too wonderful!

Oh, wow. This book just made me tear up. How sad! Poor Rachel!

This book isn't exactly like the description - no mention of the attractive Pygmalion helping to set Rachel up. It is very good thus far. I like Rachel and Simon a lot.

This book is getting really boring. Nothing is happening. Nothing has happened in awhile. Norway's life is boring. A is a jerk. I'm rapidly losing hope.

Yea. I hope she does leave. Good riddance to A the a hole.

He won't even buy her some lousy boots? I really do not like this book. When I read a book, if the heroine develops romantic feelings for someone, I want to be able to identify with her feelings, understand them and maybe even share them a bit. I pretty much hate A. He has no redeeming qualities that I can see.
