I am loving the detail. Vetch is learning and growing. Lackey is marvelous in her world building.

Chapter ten.

Lots of big words such as cybernetic, neurocircuitry, synaptic anatomics, dendrites, axon, etc. Fun with words! My two dictionaries don't have them and I've stopped looking them up, just going to believe these words exist or perhaps will exist - I love the imaginations of some authors - they can make some of the most fantastic things totally possible and real. In spite of vocabulary that slows my reading I'll finish.

On Chapter 9, some are very short. And I'm still trying to figure out how all the scenes and characters are related. A lot of the technical/science terms I understand through textual reference and just plain curiosity from the past and current reading/research on my own. However it is a bit more science based than I tend to read for pleasure and entertainment. We will see how it fairs as I get further into it.

Interesting world building. I liked the slow reveal of how the dragons came to be and their society works along side the fully human society. I'm heading into the second book.
