I had to increase the narration speed to help mitigate Joel Richards's attempt to deadpan the entire novel. He does ok with some of his voice work, but the choices he makes when just narrating the story are annoying. "I'm reading a sentence. I'm reading another sentence. Here is yet another completely uninflected sentence. I am reading all of the words without thinking about the story at all."
